| Uncle Steven spent the night at my house last night so that we
could get up and make the drive over to Disney today. I have
previously made reservations to go to Disney's Magic Kingdom, but I
learned that today was a "Good To Go" day for passholders, meaning
that we didn't need any reservations to visit. Since there was a new
popcorn bucket available at Disney's Hollywood Studios, I opted to
head there first so that I didn't miss out. We arrived at Disney's
Hollywood Studios around 11:00am. We headed down Hollywood
Boulevard, stopping at the popcorn stand at the end of the street.
After seeing how long the line was and how slow it was moving, I
opted to check out the stand closer to the Animation Courtyard. I
found that line to be much shorter, and was able to grab my new
Monsters Inc. Sully popcorn bucket. Unfortunately I quickly dropped
the bucket onto the ground from Steve's wheelchair when the strap
separated, and the "sack" of toys on Sully's back broke. Thankfully
I was later able to exchange my bucket for a new one. Gotta love
			Disney customer service!
We decided to head down Sunset Boulevard next, as the wait for
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror was short when I first
checked. By the time we got there, however, the wait had increased
quite a bit. We did catch a break, though, as Rock 'n' Roller
Coaster Starring Aerosmith did not have a long wait at all. We
headed that way instead, enjoying our spin in the limo through Los
			Angeles.
Once the ride was finished, we headed over to The Twilight
Zone Tower of Terror to get in the queue. The line moved at a
steady pace, so it didn't feel like a long wait. This is always a
good ride, and it is more enjoyable when there are guests on board
who have never ridden before, which we did today. We got airborne
quite a few times as well, which adds to the fun!
From here we headed across the park to climb aboard Star Tours
			– The Adventures Continue. Thanks to Uncle Steve's wheelchair,
we were detoured over to the Lightning Lane/Handicap entrance, and
had virtually no wait. I don't believe that I had ever experienced
today's ride before, as we participated in a pod race as well as
flew through the trench of the Death Star. I definitely enjoyed
this, but I am quickly learning that 99% of these things go right
over Steve's head. I know he enjoys it in the moment, but he doesn't
realize what any of the references are anymore.
At this point we were both getting hungry, and neither of us
really wanted anything specific in the park, so we headed out to eat
at the McDonald's that is just outside of the entrance to the
All-Star resorts that we would be staying at for the night. |
