			| Grandma Terry wanted to do some Christmas ornament shopping, and
we both had the day off of work, so we decided to take Uncle Steven
and spend a leisurely day at Disney's Magic Kingdom as well as
Disney Springs. We arrived at the Transportation and Ticket Center
after parking and decided to let Steve choose our mode of transport
to the park. He opted for the boat, so we waited our turn to board
before making our way to the entrance of the Magic Kingdom. Once
inside we headed towards Adventureland to stop at the Spring Roll
Snack Cart to grab a couple orders of pizza spring rolls. We made
our way across the bridge into Liberty Square, where we found a
table to sit and eat. Once we finished our snack/lunch, we made our
way to the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe to search for ornaments for the
family. Unfortunately this years requests are proving hard to come
			by.
From Liberty Square we made our way to Frontierland to enjoy the
new Country Bear Musical Jamboree. I have seen this show a
couple of times now, and while I can picture it becoming dated
quickly, I do enjoy it for now. I wish they could have blended some
of the new music with some of the old, but I'll take what I can get!
Our next destination was back in Adventureland, where we went on
the Jungle Cruise. It was a typical time on the ride,
listening to the corny jokes. Although I wouldn't want to wait in a
long line for this one, it is always an enjoyable time when we do go
			for a gentle cruise.
We headed back to Liberty Square once more, this time to board
the Doom Buggies on the Haunted Mansion. Jayden doesn't care
for this ride, so without her here we decided to give it a go.
Although I wouldn't rank the Haunted Mansion in my top ride
list, I do enjoy it when I get the chance to go.
We decided at this time that we should head over to Disney
Springs to try our luck there with our Christmas ornament search,
but before leaving the park we stopped at a popcorn stand to snag
the latest popcorn bucket, Teddy from The Nightmare Before
Christmas. While not my most favorite movie, the bucket was
pretty cool and goes with my Jack Skellington sipper from a few
			years ago. |

			| After arriving at Disney Springs, I headed over to Gideon's
Bakehouse to get get the cookie of the month for Tara. While here
we met up with my cousin Heather, her husband Jason, and their son
Colin. After connecting we all decided that we could use a bite to
eat, so we decided to give Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar a try. It's an
interesting little bar, but the food choices are definitely limited.
The menu is basically just appetizers, and we found a couple to
share between the six of us. While I don't see myself going back, it
wasn't a bad experience by any means.
After having a snack, Grandma Terry, Steve, and I headed down to
the opposite end of Disney Springs than where we usually hang out,
to visit the Pleasing pop-up shop. Pleasing is a company owned by
Harry Styles, one of Jayden's favorite artists. There is a
collaboration between Pleasing and Disney centered around Fantasia,
and Jay wanted to check it out but couldn't miss school today to
join us. We managed to find one sweatshirt that was reasonably
priced (well, in relation to the nearly $100 hats and bags, and $200
sweatshirts) that I was able to convince Grandma Terry to give to
Jay for her birthday/Christmas this year.
We ended our say by hitting a few of the shops back at the
opposite end of Disney Springs before deciding to make our way home.
Of course no trip to Walt Disney World would be complete without
stopping at Chili's when Grandma Terry is a member of the travelling
			party! |
