March 10th

Since both Grandma Terry and I had the day off today, we decided it would be a good opportunity to take Steven to Walt Disney World to "see Mickey Mouse" as he likes to do. Our first stop today was at Disney Springs to pick up the latest PassHolder magnet at Disney's Wonderful World of Memories. We made our way through World of Disney, Disney's Days of Christmas, and The LEGO Store before heading over to grab a bite to eat at Chicken Guy!

After eating we made our way to our destination for the day, Epcot! After picking up Steve's wheelchair and signing him up for the Disability Access Service (DAS) pass we headed to the Creations Shop to get out of the rain that had begun to fall. Once the rain finally began to let up we made our way over to World Celebration to get on Journey Into Imagination With Figment. Although not anyone's favorite ride, it isn't as bad as some people (ahem - Tara - ahem) claim. Upon exiting the ride we were greeted by a couple of character sightings. Up first was Joy from Inside Out, followed by Vanellope von Schweetz from Wreck-It Ralph. We also made a quick stop at the Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival building for some pictures with Mickey Mouse himself!

We left World Celebration to head to the World Showcase, starting off in Canada and making our way around to Mexico. Our main stop along the way was in France, where we took a turn on Remy's Ratatouille Adventure. After taking a spin through Gusteau's kitchen we finished our walk through the countries, stopping at a stand outside of The American Adventure to buy (of all things) a Mary Poppins tank-top for Tara.

At this point we had been on all of the rides that we could that didn't require a much longer wait. It was getting late enough in the day that we decided to go ahead and head out for the day.

We did make one last stop on the way home, once again at Chili's in Champions Gate, which seems to be our routine at this point! Although the weather wasn't always cooperative, it was a great day spent with Mom and Steve!
