Game 10

While this mornings early game between the Riverview Ice Sharks and the Manatee-Sarasota-Palmetto (MSP)4 teams wasn't close in score but was close in shots (at least through the first two periods), the later morning game was the opposite. The Riverview team just didn't put up much of an offensive attack, being outshot badly in all three periods. In fact, the Ice Sharks only managed 3, 2, and 4 shots respectively in each of the three periods. Despite giving up 7 shots in the first and 10 in the second, the Riverview defense and goaltending was enough to keep the game scoreless until the final frame.

The third period finally saw the Ice Sharks catch a break, as they scored the games opening goal partway through. The 1-0 lead didn't last long - as would be expected when the opposition gets 12 shots on your goaltender - as the MSP team scored about two and a half minutes later to know the game at a goal apiece. Thankfully the Riverview goaltender stood tall (a .966 save percentage!), limiting the damage to just the single goal allowed and salvaging the 1-1 tie.
