| I wasn't able to attend today's match up between the two Florida
Hawks teams, which as it turned out would have been a good game to
be at. Jayden's team - Hawks 2 - held the advantage in shots on
goals in both halves of the contest, and got the games only goal in
the first half of action. It wasn't without controversy, however, as
there was a disputed non-call that upset the girls on the Hawks 1
side. Apparently a Hawks 2 player touched the ball with her hand
before the ball crossed the goal line, which for obvious reasons
didn't make the fans or players on the Hawks 1 side happy.
Nevertheless, the goal counted and Jay's team held a 1-0 lead going
			into halftime.
The second half was more even, as the shots on goal were nearly
even, with the Hawks 2 side holding a slight edge. Neither team was
able to find the back of the net, and the lone first half goal gave
Jay and her teammates their first victory of the season.
Congratulations Hawks! (Well... Hawks 2!) |
