I didn't get to go to today's matchup between the Riverview Ice Sharks and the combined Manatee-Sarasota-Palmetto squad - because of that I don't have a great recap to provide today.

I can tell you that the Ice Sharks dominated the shots on goal over the first thirteen minutes of game action, outshooting the Manatee team by a 12-5 margin. Despite that fact, it was Manatee that that came out of the period with the lead, scoring on their final shot at the two minute mark.

The two teams played evenly when it came to shots on goal in the second, with each getting five, but it was once again the Manatee team to find the back of the net first. They would take a 2-0 lead four and a half minutes into the period. Riverview would finally break through with just over seven minutes to go in the period, narrowing the gap to a 2-1 margin. Like in the first period, the Manatee team scored at the two minute mark, making it a 3-1 score heading into the final intermission.

The final period was played evenly once again, and were it not for a last second empty net goal for the Manatee side there would have been no scoring at all. The empty netter made it a 4-1 game, handing Riverview their second loss on the season.
