Jayden's Purple Heart team travelled to take on the Lake Fenton 1 team tonight, and got off to a hot start. They managed to score the maximum 5 runs in each of the first two innings, while also keeping the Lake Fenton squad from crossing the plate. Neither team was able to score much over the next two innings, though the Lake Fenton squad did manage to score twice in the fourth to make it a 10-2 game. Tonight's contest made it into the fifth inning, a rarity for the Holly team's games. The Holly girls got hot once again, scoring the maximum five runs to widen their lead. Unfortunately the Lake Fenton team found their bats as well, as they too scored the maximum five runs, making it a 15-7 game. Thankfully for the Purple Heart girls, even if there had been another inning of play, they held a big enough lead that the Lake Fenton team would not have been able to come back. With the time limit expired, the Holly girls had secured the victory.
