Tonight's game between the Novi FireCats and the Troy Sting turned out to be a contest between two pretty evenly matched teams. The two teams traded scoring chances in the first period, but neither team had a good enough look to turn it into a goal. The second period was more of the same, except this time each team was able to convert on their best chances. The third period followed the script of the first two, and once again each time managed to find the back of the net once apiece. When it was all said and done, the game would end in a 2-2 tie, which seemed fitting.
