Game 14

Drew and his Novi teammates took to the ice for their final game of the year this morning, facing the Trenton Enforcers on their home ice. The game started out slowly for the FireCats, as the Trenton team controlled the puck for a majority of the early action. Finally the FireCats managed to settle in, and they were able strike first, thanks to a wrap-around goal. That goal held up into the first intermission.

The second period was similar to the first, as each team felt each other out. Unfortunately for the FireCats fans, it was the Trenton team that broke through in this period, as they caught Drew in a 3 on 1 breakaway. Although he forced the puck to the side before it was shot, nobody was back to corral the rebound, and Trenton knocked it in. Each team got some more good looks throughout the remainder of the period, the goaltending was able to keep the pucks out of the net.

Neither team was able to do anything in the third period scoring wise, despite some more good chances. In the end, the game would wind up in a 1-1 tie. Until next year...
