| If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything...
Some days just aren't your day, and today wasn't the FireCats day,
by any stretch of the imagination. Although they gave up a goal 20
seconds in, they settled down a bit and held the IceCats off the
board for the rest of the period. Although the FireCats generated a
few chances here and there, they couldn't convert on any of them,
and found themselves heading into the second down 1-0.
It was the second period where things went south for the
FireCats, as the IceCats seemed to control the puck the entire 15
minutes. Every bounce went there way, and they were always the first
to the puck, as the FireCats looked a step slow the entire game. It
was this period that the IceCats really put the FireCats away,
scoring three unanswered goals to open the lead up to four goals
			heading into the final period.
Unfortunately for the FireCats, the third period was virtually a
replay of the second, as the IceCats dominated play, and just kept
adding on their lead. On the bright side for the FireCats, if you're
going to lay an egg, you might as well make it a big one! Hopefully
they got it out of their system and will be ready to go when they
return to the ice in a week... |
