Game 4

Drew and his Lapeer Storm teammates took the ice to face off against the USA Patriots in tonight's contest. Things looked good for both teams early on, as the two sides seemed to match up evenly against each other. Unfortunately for the Storm players, the Patriots were able to get on the board first, scoring the only goal of the opening period late in the frame. That goal seemed to take some wind out from under the Storm team, and they really struggled through most of the second period. They were outskated, outshot, and outscored by a 3-1 margin. The lone Storm goal came with less than a minute left in the period, making the score at the end of two 4-1. It looked as though the Storm team might be able to claw their way back into the game in the third period, but the Patriots added to their lead halfway through. A flurry of goals late made it 7-1 Patriots before the Storm team tacked on an additional score as time was about to expire.
