    The Michigan Impact team knew that they needed a win in this afternoon's contest in order to make the finals later today. While they dominated play for a vast majority of the game, they weren't able to put away the Cedar River team from Iowa. They grabbed the early lead in the first half, but weren't able to capitalize on any number of chances that they were able to generate. The girls came out after halftime flat, and the Cedar Rivers girls grabbed a very, very quick goal to knot things up at a goal apiece. The Impact girls finally settled in, but still couldn't generate any offensive success. They had a lot of chances, but weren't able to capitalize on any of them. That being stated, they settled for a 1-1 tie, ending their tournament. While the tournament didn't go as hoped, it was truly the lack of converting scoring chances into goals that hurt them the most. Time to focus on the regular season and increasing their offensive output! Go Impact!
