Field Day

June 4th, 2015

For the second year in a row, I wasn't able to make it to Field Day at the kids school. Too many days off of work lately trying to keep up with all of the kids activities! Thankfully both Drew and Jayden had their field days at different times of the day, allowing my Mom to be able to follow each of the kids around and take pictures for me. Up first, Jayden!

Patterson Field Day

Jayden's first event involved jumping while attempting to keep her glass full of water from spilling.

Jay did her best, but...

...caught her foot on the rope.

Despite jumping high into the air, Jay still managed to collide with the rope.

Jay getting ready to time her next jump...

...but still got her foot caught on the rope...

...causing her to spill her water...

...but she still had lots of fun!

Jay giving it yet another valiant attempt!

The next game that Jayden and her classmates participated in involved moving around with one hand on a hula hoop at all times...

...while looking for colored "markers"...

...that would direct them to their next target...

...before they were to return to their home "base".

Jay and her group walking back after the game was over.

In a battle of boys versus girls, Jayden and her friends beat the boys in this contest...

...each team had to hold hands while making their way around the course - any falls or broken links resulted in starting over. Way to go girls!

Jayden was required to carry a ball inside a frisbee...

...without dropping it, of course!

Jay did her best to keep the ball in the frisbee.
