Today the Venice Indians faced off against the Palmetto
Tigers in Palmetto. Samantha took the field as a defensive midfielder once again
and played a strong game. When I arrived part way through the first half (they
started earlier than I thought) Venice was up 1-0. The Palmetto fans were pretty
rowdy and kept chanting for our players or yelling, "Oh, #11" or "Oh, #10" just
to get under their skin. After the half, our girls had heard enough and scored
another goal to push the lead 2-0. Venice seemed to be better positioned and
stronger than the Palmetto team, which was made evident after another goal from
the Venice Indians. That final goal pushed the final score to 3-0.
