    Although this was technically Holly 2's ninth game of the season, it was only Samantha's third game with the team. They have shown improvement each game so far, and today was no different. They struggled early as their pitching didn't start off well, but once they settled down they began to eat into the early lead that they allowed Fenton 3 to build up. Sam played 4 of the 5 innings in centerfield today, moving to second for the final inning. She got on base twice today, once via a walk and the second time after taking a pitch to the thigh (and openly admitting that she did little to get out of the way of the pitch). She managed to steal a base and come around to score her second time on base. Unfortunately her run wasn't enough to push her team into the lead, and the Fenton squad added two insurance runs in the final inning to seal the 13-7 victory.
