Game 1

Samantha and her Holly Bronchos teammates kicked off their season against the girls from the A.G. Schmidt Middle School. The lady Bronchos started out strong, leading for the majority of the game. What made things difficult for the girls is that their team consists of 9 players, only 8 of whom were available for this matchup. Fenton, however, had nearly 20 girls on their roster, many of whom had a height advantage on our team. The girls began to wear down late, as Fenton began to use their height to outrebound and outscore our girls on the inside. Despite giving it their all, the lady Bronchos suffered a 28-25 defeat in their first game of the season. Samantha played well overall today, drawing some tough defensive matchups and scoring 2 points on offense. She seemed to be a little too fired up today, as most of her shots (which were good looks at the basket) wound up being just a little too hard.
