February 23rd, 2014              

    After nearly a month of no action (besides practice), Samantha's basketball team returned to the court on Sunday, February 23rd. Their first game was against the Monarchs, and from the start it appeared as this game was going to be an ugly blowout (and not in favor of the Avengers). Thankfully things turned around in the second half, as the girls started to make a game of it. Things got interesting right at the end, but they were never quite able to get over the hump, and they wound up losing the game by 2 points, with the final score being 32-30. Sam played pretty well during her time on the court, scoring two points on a shot but missing her opportunity for two more on free throws.
