    The second of the two games today was against one of the 
local teams from the Traverse City area. While I really thought that the 
Hurricanes came out strong in this one and had a good chance at winning, they 
just couldn't seem to get one past the goaltender early in the game. The more 
shots were stopped, the more it seemed like the kids minds started to wander. 
While they were still giving it their all, they began to allow goal after goal 
to the GTHA team - 13 in all while not scoring a single goal themselves. The 
loss was heartbreaking, but the kids were all smiles in the locker room 
afterwards, knowing that they are showing signs of improvement each and every 
time they face a new opponent.
