Samantha's soccer team played their seventh game of the
season (and second of the day, although this was the third game for the girls as
they also played a game for the Blue Fire team as well) on March 31st. This
turned out to be a great game for the girls, as they cruised to a 7-1 victory,
moving them to 7-0 on the season, but it was also a season high-point for Sam as
well. She was finally able to break out of her slump, and she did so in a big
way - scoring not one goal, not two goals, but three goals! And I missed them
all! I had to leave to take Drew to a birthday party, so I must be the jinx... I
didn't get to see any of the game, so I don't really have much to say. All I
know is that when I asked Sam about her goals she told me that she pushed up the
field, which put her in the right place at the right time. Despite the fact that
I have been telling her since Game 1 to do that, she finally got it today.
Needless to say, she was excited about her play, and Tara & I were proud about
it as well. Great job, Sammie!
