Things were looking up for the Rays at the beginning of tonight's game, as they jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first inning. Unfortunately that is where the good news ended, however, as the Phillies scored the next 12 runs to mercy the Rays after 4 innings. Sam struggled at the plate once again, but did score a run after walking in the first inning. She played well in the field to help make up for it though, as she nearly threw a runner out at home and later threw a runner out at first. All in all, a fairly well played game by both teams despite the mercy rule. I can definitely see progress in the kids who care about playing the game.

Game 8 - at Phillies
	Samantha got a walk in her first at-bat, and then stole second base.
