Home Up

We ate our lunch at PizzaPapalis once again this year, although we did offer the kids some other alternatives. They enjoy making their own pizza's too much to pass up, however, so this was their restaurant of choice. Although our waiter did a horrible job of timing what food item came out when (Tara got her soup first, then just as she was about finished I got my calzone... and the kid's completed pizzas came out when I was almost finished with my meal), the food was still good and he did do a good job keeping us refilled with drinks and napkins. Enjoy some our my pictures from lunch as well...

Lunch at PizzaPapalis

Here is Andrew working on making his pizza.

Jayden had a good time spreading the sauce on her dough.

Samantha and Jayden both put a heavy dose of pizza sauce on their pies.

Tyler finished his pizza way before anyone else did. Here he is celebrating.

At least Tyler was willing to pose for a nice picture as well as his goofy one above.

Sam was ready to put the rest of the toppings on her pizza.

Drew topped his pizza off with cheese and pepperoni.

Sam finished her pizza off with cheese and bacon.

Jayden put her pepperoni on first, and then the cheese.

Sammie had a great time making her pizza!

Jayden putting the finishing touches on her pizza.

Drew posing with his finished product.

Tyler spent most of his time waiting at the table playing video games.

Sam and Jay smiling together.

Drew, Sam, Jay, Tyler, and Tara and our tables.

Tyler enjoying his pizza. He must have been hungry, because he wolfed his pizza down in record time today.

Jay enjoying a bite of her pizza creation.

Sam getting ready to take a bite of her pizza.

Sammie posing for another picture.

Drew thought his pizza was finger licking good.

Our lunch at PizzaPapalis didn't end our day of fun, but it did end my picture taking activities. Once we returned to our vehicle, parked safely on the roof of the Cobo Center, we started our drive north. We made a slight detour to the IKEA store in Canton to purchase some more plates to match the sets we have at home (we never seem to have enough, unless the dishwasher gets ran almost constantly). Although the kids were tired of walking around, they managed to get through the store without too much complaint. We even treated them to a hot dog and soda before leaving as a reward. We also stopped at the Target store in Fenton to pick up some items which were about to have their sale end before returning home to make dinner.

Overall we had a very enjoyable day. There were times at the car show where the kids would get a little bored, and express that boredom a little too much for my taste, but I can't really complain. As many times as I told them that next year Tara & I were coming down alone, I am sure that all six of us will be back again next year!
