We had another decent weather day for
Samantha's 7th soccer game of the season on Saturday, October 16th. Today's game
was a rematch from last weekends game, but the result was the same - another easy victory for Sam's team,
this time by an 11-0 margin. Sam
started out in goal today and made one nice save before the action tilted to the
other end of the field. She played the second quarter on offense and netted two
goals before the coach told her not to score any more. I am sure that this was a
direct result of the complaining to the league by the opponents parents about our scores.
As I said after last weeks game, these teams
are supposed to be matched evenly by player ability by the league, so nobody
should be complaining about a stacked team. Sam spent the rest of the game
playing defense and midfield, and by this point the game was out of hand so
there was no need for her to press too hard. Great game, Sammie!

Samantha started the game playing goal today. She was too warm
wearing the goalie shirt, so she stuck with a penny instead. Here she is
